Runway Launches App Studio and Solaris Interface World Model
App Studio removes the coding barrier for building AI-powered creative tools by connecting plain-language descriptions directly to Runway's models. Solaris represents a distinct technical approach to interactive software interfaces, generating visual output frame by frame rather than executing code.

The full picture
Runway launched App Studio, a feature that lets users describe a creative tool in plain language and receive a working app connected to Runway's image, video, and audio models, with no coding required and the ability to share the resulting tools with others. Separately, Runway co-CEO Anastasis Germanidis presented Solaris, an experimental interface world model that generates software screens frame by frame rather than rendering traditional HTML and CSS. Solaris predicts what a digital environment should look like after each user action and responds to clicks, drags, and typing like a conventional app. Germanidis said the same world-model approach could extend to games and robotics.
