Visko opens Orbis to public with $10M pre-seed; Runway GWM in research preview

Visko opened public access to Orbis 1.0 alongside a $10 million pre-seed round led by Llama Ventures. Runway's GWM Worlds 2 is available as a research preview with no public access as of publication.

Orbis 1.0 streams 4K video at 24 fps, responds to new text prompts in under one second on average, and maintains persistent visual memory across hour-scale sessions. In a human Arena study of real-time interactive video systems, Orbis scored 1,838 Elo overall and 1,940 in temporal stability, ranking first in both categories among the systems tested. On automated benchmarks it leads on DOVER aesthetic and technical quality, VideoAlign visual and motion quality, and three physical-plausibility protocols: VideoPhy-2, Physics-IQ, and VBench-2.0 Physics.

GWM Worlds 2 generates continuous 720p video at 24 fps with synchronized audio at 48,000 Hz and generated speech. The model uses an input format called WorldPrompt that separates persistent world context from a timestamped stream of text-based actions. Supported features include first- and third-person navigation, independent camera and subject control, multi-character dialogue, agentic control for AI training, multiplayer sessions via LiveKit, and LLM-assisted world authoring from text prompts. Disclosed limitations include fidelity trade-offs for speed, degraded quality on rapid camera motion, imperfect long-term memory, and no support for image references beyond the first frame.
