Anthropic is pledging $150 million over three years to the Genesis Mission, a federal AI-for-science initiative, and making Claude available to more than 15 agencies including NASA, NIH, and NSF. The commitment covers Claude, Claude Code, and API credits for several hundred Genesis Mission research projects, with partnerships on priorities such as fusion energy and quantum computing. The announcement was made at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy's Science: A New Golden Age Summit. Separately, Anthropic is investing $100 million in the Claude Frontier Academy, a program targeting 10,000 trained Frontier Deployed Engineers by the end of 2027, with cohorts already underway at Accenture, Bain, CBA, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, and Novo Nordisk. Barclays is also expanding its strategic collaboration with Anthropic to integrate AI systems across its global banking operations.
