Meta released Muse Code on August 7, its first public AI coding agent powered by Muse Spark 1.2, globally via its Model API at $1.25 per million input tokens and $4.25 per million output tokens.
Muse Spark 1.2 scored 1498 on Text Arena (#4), trailing top-ranked Claude Fable 5 by nine points while costing roughly 91% less at scale. A Unitlab AI writeup described the system as using a one-million-token context window, parallel subagents, and a persistent goal system. Meta is directing engineers to use Muse Code internally to reduce dependence on external tools and help post-train a future model.
