GPT-6 Astra Adopted by Airbnb, invideo; Tested on Coding Tasks

Airbnb is widening internal access to GPT-6 Astra and other OpenAI frontier models for its engineering teams, targeting use cases including debugging, system design, and faster shipping. Video editor invideo integrated Astra into its agentic editing platform and reported a roughly threefold improvement in color-grading success rates, along with producing about 50 custom video effects in a single day. Astra also completed six one-shot coding challenges with minimal follow-up steering, including a black hole simulator, a Blender scene, a physics game, a sci-fi world, a sound diagnostic prototype, and a Doom-style game. In a separate long-horizon evaluation by Vals AI, Astra was tested in Minecraft, where it built a blaze farm and collected items before a creeper destroyed its storage chest, after which it spent hours farming potatoes and began explicitly checking whether tall green objects were sugarcane or creepers.
