NVIDIA Expands Industrial AI Push Across Europe With New Tools and Partnerships

The gist

A range of established European manufacturers and research institutions are integrating NVIDIA accelerated computing into core engineering workflows, with reported speedups across semiconductor simulation, aerodynamics, and factory inspection. The general availability of cuDSS broadens access to GPU-accelerated sparse solving for engineering software vendors and their customers.

The full picture

Several European industrial companies are deploying NVIDIA AI and simulation tools across manufacturing, semiconductor design, automotive, maritime, and energy sectors. Siemens is embedding NVIDIA FOX-based agents into its Intelligence Center X system, reporting estimated 20% cost savings, and cut inspection calibration time by 40% at its Erlangen factory using NVIDIA Cosmos Data Factory tools. imec benchmarked a 40x speedup in lithography simulation using Synopsys S-Litho on NVIDIA hardware, and Infineon achieved a 12x speedup in 3D breakdown simulation using Synopsys Sentaurus Device with NVIDIA CUDA libraries. Mercedes-Benz is running aerodynamic simulations on NVIDIA GPUs and building vehicle inspection agents with NVIDIA Cosmos 3 and the Metropolis blueprint. UniversalAGI and Saab are using physics AI models accelerated by NVIDIA Warp to evaluate wave conditions in real time for maritime route safety. Audi is using NVIDIA Omniverse-based digital twins to test battery-production concepts and simulate humanoid robots with partners Dassault Systèmes and Agile Robots. Falkor, a KONGSBERG company, is integrating NVIDIA Omniverse and spatially intelligent agents on Microsoft Azure for industrial inspection. Separately, NVIDIA released cuDSS, a generally available CUDA-X library that accelerates sparse linear system solving on GPUs; Applied Materials achieved up to 10x speedup for its Ginestra platform, ZEISS SMT achieved a 4x speedup in an EUV lithography simulation, and Dassault Systèmes reports 8-10x speedup in Abaqus electromagnetic solvers. Mistral and NVIDIA also announced a collaboration to bring AI to industrial engineering, covering faster simulation, open benchmarks for physics AI, and agentic AI evaluations for CAE and EDA.
