Cognition announces GPT-6 Astra integration across Devin and its full product lineup for automated code testing
Cognition Integrates GPT-6 Astra Into Devin, Launches SWE-2
Cognition expects engineers will need to manually review less code over time, allowing them to ship more software. The integrations extend Devin's scope from code generation into automated testing and verification.
The full picture
Cognition is using OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra to improve Devin's ability to test its own code and produce evidence that it works as expected, applying the integration across its cloud agent, CLI, and desktop products. In one demo, Devin used Astra to test an iPhone game called Otter Run and returned a simulator recording alongside a testing report. Astra also lets Devin receive a bug screenshot, fix the issue, and return a screenshot of the fix, which Cognition says speeds up customer bug resolution. Separately, Cognition launched SWE-2, a coding model based on Kimi K3, and Devin Voice, which pairs SWE-2 with GPT-Live so users can verbally describe a coding task before handing it to Devin to build.
