Anthropic has merged Claude Cowork and Claude chat into a single product called Claude, rolling out first to Pro and Max plan users across web, desktop, and mobile. The unified product handles both quick conversational queries and longer agentic tasks that continue running in the background after a user closes their laptop. The integration adds beta Docs, Slides, and Design features alongside chat with background task handoffs. The rollout is proceeding over coming weeks.
