Anthropic announced continuous monitoring for Claude Security, rescanning repositories as code changes land and auto-marking findings fixed or reopened.
Claude Security Continuous Monitoring in Enterprise Beta, Market Impact Noted
Continuous monitoring removes the need for manual or scheduled scans, keeping vulnerability findings synchronized with live codebases. The market reaction to the tool's February launch, including a roughly 25% single-day drop in JFrog's stock, shows it is viewed as a potential threat to established cybersecurity vendors.
The full picture
Claude Security, Anthropic's AI-powered vulnerability scanning tool, is in public beta for Claude Enterprise customers with continuous repository monitoring. Anthropic launched it as a limited research preview on February 20, 2026, moved it to Enterprise public beta on April 30, 2026, and announced continuous monitoring on October 21, 2026. The continuous monitoring feature rescans connected repositories as code changes land, automatically marks findings fixed when patches ship, and reopens them if vulnerabilities reappear. The tool incorporates security staff notes and an editable threat model to assess whether vulnerabilities are actually reachable by attackers. Anthropic reports thousands of organizations have found over one million vulnerabilities using Claude Security since April. Claude Enterprise beta customers receive $25,000 in monthly credits for two months through December 31, 2026. A separate Claude Code security plugin runs locally within Claude Code sessions and reaches repositories on GitLab, Bitbucket, or air-gapped networks that the managed Claude Security product cannot. The tool's February launch coincided with JFrog dropping roughly 25% on the release day, with CrowdStrike, Datadog, and Zscaler also falling on the first full market day after the release.
